Santa Fe River – July 18, 2015

Fun beginners paddle yesterday on the Santa Fe River for the Florida Trail Association. Four kayaks and a SUP.  We paddled the springs section from US 27 to Rum Island County Park so there were several places to swim and cool off.

We played on the rocks and in the spring at Poe Springs and talked with Naked Ed at Lily Springs.  Lots of people on the river on a hot Saturday, so not much wildlife other than sunning turtles and a friendly goat who came down to check us out.
